"Srikant’s success building a near $600M practice is impressive"

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Srikant Sastry, national managing principal of Advisory Services for Grant Thornton LLP, has been named to Consulting magazine’s 2017 Top 25 Consultants list.

The annual listing, which focuses on the 25 professionals who are making the greatest impact within the consulting industry, profiles Sastry for his “excellence in leadership.”

Sastry leads Grant Thornton’s U.S. Advisory Services business. The firm credits him with transforming its advisory practice into a full-service consultancy – one that has averaged more than 15 percent annual growth and expanded to include 2,500 consultants nationwide.

“Srikant’s success building a near $600M practice is impressive,” says Mike McGuire, CEO of Grant Thornton. “What’s equally impressive is how he’s done it — by building the systems and culture that enable our professionals to collaborate on innovative solutions for our clients. This recognition further exemplifies his ability to create, protect and transform value for our firm and our clients – not to mention the profession.”

Sastry, who most recently served as the managing principal of Grant Thornton’s Public Sector consulting practice, is now applying his experience helping government agencies overcome performance challenges to private-sector clients.

“He’s flipping the script,” added McGuire. “In applying his more than 25 years of public-sector experience to commercial businesses, Srikant brings a winning approach that fits with our innovative direction here at Grant Thornton.”

Sastry serves on Grant Thornton’s Senior Leadership team. He is a certified government financial manager and is a member of the Association of Government Accountants. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts, a master’s of public affairs degree from Indiana University and a juris doctor degree from George Washington University Law School.

Consulting magazine will honor this year’s recipients at the Top 25 Consultants awards dinner at the Mandarin Oriental in New York on June 15.
